*The desk in Andrew's room is covered with a jumbled litter of books, lists, charts, scrawled notes, small weapons pressed into service as paperweights, candy wrappers, empty containers that formerly held fried paradoxes and jalapeno-flavored tortilla chips, and half-finished bottles of Jolt Cola.*
