It's close to midnight before the Council discussion finally breaks off for the night, after going in miserable circles for the better part of half an hour. Giles has told them all quite firmly that what they need to do now is sleep; the hearings begin tomorrow morning, and there's no telling how long they'll take.

No telling whether or not he'll take his own counsel, of course.
